Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children in our care, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and engaged.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily care and supervision of children within the nursery setting.
  • Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where all children feel encouraged to explore and learn.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery environment, ensuring safety standards are upheld.
  • Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to manage behaviour and promote social skills among children.

Skills

  • Experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage groups of children effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
  • A genuine interest in nurturing children's development through play-based learning.
  • Ability to work within a team to support children, adapting environments to enhance learning experiences and interests.
