Full job description

Location: South Yorkshire

Shift pattern: Various including days, nights and weekends

Shift times: Various including 12 hours shifts.

Rate/Salary: £12.71 to £13.45 per hour depending on site.

Job Description:

Due to recent contract awards and growth within the business, we have new opportunities available to join our team working as a security relief officer.

These roles play a vital part within the business, ensuring we provide our clients with trained and competent contingency officers covering any absence, holidays and additional requirement.

They can also provide an officer with valuable experience in the industry based on the variety of sectors we provide security services to within the industry such as education facilities, manufacturing sites, student accommodation and many more.

Rota schedules are provided in advance, however please bear in mind that changes are required depending on sickness and other absence so flexibility is important in these roles.

You will be contracted on a 0 hour basis.

Your daily work will help protect our client’s site, property and people including students, staff, and members of the public, resulting in a very satisfying role with significant potential.

You will be the ambassadors for our client; one of the first people that visitors, staff and contractors see on arrival, setting the tone and ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Some of the duties will include:

· Controlling access onto sites

· Controlling and issuing keys and access cards

· Monitoring CCTV activity

· External and internal patrols of site

· Signing in visitors and contractors, issuing PPE

· Taking in deliveries of mail and distributing to the right department/person

· Added value duties depending on client requests

· Maintaining that all incidents are logged and reported

· Ensuring Health and Safety polices are adhered to

Security officer requirements:

· Valid Frontline SIA Licence

· Valid Driving Licence to make your own way to sites

· Flexible to work days, nights and weekends

· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

· 5 year+ checkable work history in line with BS 7858

· Smart and presentable portraying a professional image

· Ability to write clear and concise reports

· Excellent time management skills

· A dynamic decision maker
