Description

Tudor House - Residential Addictions Service
Salary: £26,227.50
Full Time Permanent Role

Help people feel supported, connected and encouraged as they take steps towards recovery.
We are currently recruiting a team of Support Workers to join our new Residential Addictions Service:

Priory Tudor House. is set in a lovely rural location in Grafton Regis, near Towcaster and around a 20-minute drive from the outskirts of Northampton and Milton Keynes, with free parking on site.

Work will be full time, 3 long days, 7am to 7pm, and some nights covering the week on a rota, Monday to Sunday.
As a Support Worker in our residential addiction service, you’ll be an important part of everyday life at Tudor House. Through conversation, shared activities and practical encouragement, you’ll help create a welcoming community where clients feel valued, respected and involved in their recovery.

This is a role where relationships matter. You’ll work closely with clients and colleagues, bringing warmth, patience and a positive approach to supporting people through both progress and challenges.

What you'll be doing

As an experienced, support worker, you will help guide clients through their daily sessions, evening recovery-focused activities and workshops. Each element is designed to help clients develop practical coping strategies, build resilience and reduce their responses to everyday triggers.
  • Building positive relationships with clients and helping them feel part of the Tudor House community.
  • Supporting everyday routines, activities and daily living tasks, encouraging participation and independence.
  • Providing individual support through keyworking, helping clients identify goals and review their progress.
  • Working as part of the wider team to provide consistent, person-centred support.
  • Maintaining accurate daily notes and contributing to support plans and other routine administration.
  • Helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment, protecting clients’ dignity, confidentiality and wellbeing.

What you'll bring to the role

We’re looking for someone who can connect with people, listen without judgement and contribute to a caring, supportive environment.

You’ll bring:
  • A compassionate approach and an understanding of the challenges people experiencing addiction may face.

  • A positive approach to teamwork, building constructive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Patience, resilience and a calm response to challenging situations.
  • The confidence to encourage independence, respect individual choices and support people towards their goals.
  • A willingness to learn and undertake the training and development needed for the role.

Experience in care, support or another role involving helping people would be useful, but you don’t need previous experience in an addiction service. We’re interested in the qualities and transferable experience you would bring to our community.
