Quay Holidays is a long-established, family-owned, self-catering holiday letting agency with a growing portfolio of luxurious holiday properties in and around Poole and Bournemouth. We are now looking for holiday letting agents to expand our holiday letting team.

Job Roles

These customer-facing roles will suit friendly, outgoing people seeking a tourism role with excellent customer service and who relish being part of a small, busy, team of 10 staff. You will be responsible for marketing and selling local self-catering holidays, processing guest bookings, liaising with accounting and maintenance colleagues, greeting holiday-makers, and making every guest’s experience a truly enjoyable one.

These are sales-driven roles where the primary objectives are to maximise bookings for our property owners while consistently delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and responding promptly to enquiries and helping prospective guests to make bookings by 'phone, email and in person
  • Proactively following up on booking enquiries to maximise conversion.
  • Upselling longer stays, additional nights and suitable alternative properties where appropriate.
  • Building relationships with holiday home owners and prospective guests.
  • Working front-of-house in a pleasant retail environment, meeting and greeting guests and owners
  • Assisting with new property onboarding and ensuring accurate property information is uploaded to booking software and portals.
  • Using a specialist booking system to process holiday bookings, and assisting in updating property details as required.
  • Maintaining listings on third-party holiday advertising portals (eg Booking.com) to generate enquiries.
  • Monitoring availability, occupancy and pricing to help maximise revenue.
  • Resolving customer queries and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Working closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest issues are resolved quickly.
  • Handling the daily processes for guest arrivals, departures and recurring tasks.
  • Creating marketing email-shots, improving website SEO, maintaining social media platforms and producing regular, engaging content. Managing online reviews.
  • Carrying out occasional property visits for inspections, photography and 360-photography.

You Have:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • A pro-active sales-driven personality and with strong commercial awareness.
  • Confidence and professionalism.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise during busy periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Strong database skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent written communication skills with impeccable grammar and spelling.
  • Fast, accurate computer skills.
  • Confidence in using Microsoft Office and cloud-based software.
  • Knowledge of holiday lettings or the tourism industry would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Guesty software, Booking.com and Airbnb (owner dashboards) an advantage.
  • A good knowledge of the Poole & Bournemouth local area.
  • A UK full driving licence.
  • An outgoing personality with a can-do attitude to fit with a lively team of 10 humans and 2 cocker spaniels!

Working hours:

Five days a week, Monday to Saturday 9.15am - 6pm. The role includes working every Saturday, with a regular weekday off in lieu. Occasional Sunday working.

Salary:

£26,000 to £32,000 pa OTE, depending on experience
