Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with practical experience in gardening tasks. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors, contributing to the creation and upkeep of beautiful, healthy outdoor spaces. The successful applicant will be organised, reliable, and enthusiastic about working with various gardening tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Planting, watering, pruning, and maintaining a variety of plants, shrubs, and trees
  • Operating hand tools such as spades, shears, and rakes to carry out gardening tasks
  • Using power tools for landscaping projects including lawn mowers (Kubota & trailer) hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers
  • Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants
  • Assisting with landscape design and implementation under supervision
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work areas and ensuring safety procedures are followed during all activities
  • Monitoring plant health and identifying potential issues related to pests or disease
  • Assisting in seasonal planting and garden preparation for different weather conditions

Requirements

  • Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and horticultural principles
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Physical fitness to perform manual labour including digging, lifting, and standing for extended periods
  • A genuine interest in gardening and landscape aesthetics
  • Previous experience working with or similar clients is advantageous
  • Chainsaw Licence & Spraying certificate
