Description


The Escapade Kitchen Porter is a vital member to the kitchen team. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment in order to allow the kitchen to run smoothly.
The role of Kitchen Porter is essential to the efficient operation of a restaurant or culinary establishment. They will play a key role in supporting chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities


To create and implement a best-in-class and award-winning guest experience.

  • Maintaining cleanliness: Operating dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitise dishes, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen utensils. Ensure that all kitchen equipment, including cooking utensils and trays, is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised. Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops and floors. Dispose of kitchen waste, including empty containers, food scraps and trash.
  • Stock and Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and managing inventory of cleaning supplies and kitchen equipment. Maintain a well-organised kitchen, ensuring that utensils and equipment are easily accessible to kitchen staff.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Assist chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation such as prepping any ingredients. Retrieve and stock kitchen supplies as needed. Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. Report any kitchen maintenance issues to the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager. Be flexible in assisting with kitchen tasks as needed during busy events and peak times.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain kitchen cleanliness. Adhere to safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and waste disposal. Follow health and safety guidelines, including the correct use of personal protective equipment.
  • Sustainability: To promote, implement and act with the sustainability initiatives as directed by Escapade Silverstone

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or any other lifestyle/ distinctive brand is desirable but not required
  • A strong, yet positive guest service style
  • Organised and ability to work within the team or on their own
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A good command of the English language is desired. Additional languages are advantageous
  • Maintains impeccable personal grooming standards while radiating an aura of elegance and refinement
  • Full clean UK driving licence
