Chef de Partie

The Cottage in the Wood | Malvern Wells, Malvern Hills Up to £36,000 per year (including tips) | Full-time, Permanent

About us

Set in nine acres of wooded grounds on the Malvern Hills, The Cottage in the Wood is an award-winning, 3-Rosette country house hotel with 32 bedrooms. Our kitchen runs a single brigade across two restaurants: 1919, our tasting-menu restaurant open Thursday to Saturday evenings and listed in the Michelin Guide, and our more casual brasserie — both serving modern British cuisine. We're proud of our 3 Rosettes and we're not stopping there; we're looking for a Chef de Partie who wants to help us push for more.

The role

We're seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to run a section within our brigade, maintaining the standards that have earned the hotel its rosettes across both the 1919 tasting menu and the brasserie. Immediate start available.

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a quality kitchen, ideally rosette or Michelin-recognised

  • Ability to run a section with pace and consistency during service
  • A team player who thrives in a close-knit brigade
