Job Title: Protection Adviser

Salary: up to £40,000 Basic | OTE £80,000+ (Self-employed option also available)

Location: York (Hybrid Working)

As a directly authorised firm, they pride themselves on maintaining high ethical standards whilst creating a supportive and collaborative working environment for their team.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an ambitious Protection Adviser to join their successful team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a protection specialist who wants access to a consistent flow of warm leads generated by seven established Mortgage Advisers, alongside a steady stream of repeat business and client referrals.

You'll be joining a business that genuinely values its advisers, offering flexibility, excellent earning potential, full administrative support, and the freedom to focus on what you do best – advising clients and writing business.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Basic Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
  • OTE: £60,000 - £80,000+ per annum
  • Commission between 10-20%

Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Protection Adviser, Protection Consultant, or Protection Specialist
  • Proven ability to convert protection opportunities and generate strong monthly sales figures
  • Experience advising on Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover, Income Protection, and Family Protection products
  • Experience working with mortgage-generated leads would be highly advantageous
  • Business Protection experience would be beneficial
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and desire to maximise earnings
  • Team player who works collaboratively with advisers and support staff
  • Trustworthy, professional, and client-focused approach

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide high-quality protection advice to new and existing clients
  • Advise on Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover, Income Protection, Family Income Benefit, and related protection products
  • Convert opportunities generated through the firm's mortgage advisers
  • Build strong relationships with mortgage advisers to maximise lead conversion
  • Manage clients through the full advice process from recommendation through to completion
  • Identify and develop business protection opportunities where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all advice meets regulatory requirements
  • Deliver excellent customer outcomes and maintain the firm's high standards of client service
  • Work closely with administration and compliance teams to ensure smooth case progression
