Riverside Cafe Lewes is an independent and popular Cafe business located in the heart of Lewes near Brighton in East Sussex.

Job Title: Barista

Overview:

Join our team as a Barista and play a crucial role in our lively coffee shop / Cafe environment.

As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting delicious beverages, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere for our customers.

Duties:

- Prepare and serve a diverse range of coffee and hot beverages with precision and care.

- Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and ensure customer satisfaction.

- Operate coffee machines and equipment proficiently to guarantee high-quality drinks.

- Ensure cleanliness and organisation in the coffee preparation and service areas.

- Adhere to food safety protocols and standards consistently.

- Engage with customers to offer recommendations on coffee selections based on preferences.

- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.

- Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain smooth operations, especially during peak hours.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a Barista role is beneficial but not required.

- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is advantageous.

- Strong time management skills essential for handling busy periods efficiently.

- Proficiency in basic maths for order processing.

- Willingness to assist team members as needed.
