Operations Manager | 10637 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £50,166 to £54,227 per annum | Grade L | Countywide

Norfolk Youth Justice Service (NYJS) is a high performing multi-agency service whose purpose is to prevent offending by young people and repair the damage to victims of their crimes. We are looking to recruit someone to our partnership strand who wants to work in a challenging but highly rewarding environment with a motivated, creative and skilled staff group. Please note, Operations Managers need to be able to work across the whole service.

The Operations Manager reports to the Service Area Manager and will be initially responsible for the line management of case work practitioners and specialist workers within the Partnership Strand. This post will also take lead responsibility for specific areas of YJS practice such as education, training and employment, parenting, substance misuse and the early intervention custody project.

The successful candidate will have a real commitment to delivering high quality services and to working within the local community in partnership with key statutory agencies to make Norfolk an even safer place to live. Safeguarding and managing risk and strong leadership are essential.

You will need to be motivated and committed to working with our diverse staff group and communities. You will also be educated to degree level or hold a social work or other allied professional qualification or have significant relevant experience of working in social care or criminal justice. You will also need a minimum of three years experience of direct working with children and families within the arena of youth justice.

In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 2 days a week, in addition to team days.
