We are seeking a dedicated Fish Fryer to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking fish dishes to high standards, ensuring quality and safety are maintained at all times. Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh fish and ingredients according to specified recipes and standards
• Cook fish using appropriate methods such as frying, grilling, or baking
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
• Assist in meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
• Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
• Support team members during busy service times to ensure smooth operation

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, particularly with fish or seafood dishes
• Strong cooking skills with knowledge of various culinary techniques
• Previous kitchen experience within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable
• Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and quality control
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Customer service skills, especially if involved in serving or interacting with diners
