Bar Supervisor – Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa, Keswick

The Role – Bar Supervisor

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Bar Supervisor to join our team at Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa.

This is a varied role within a busy 4-star hotel environment. Based primarily in our Lake View Lounge Bar, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the bar while also supporting our function and event operations. With weddings, private functions and events taking place throughout the year, no two shifts are quite the same.

Working closely with the Bar Manager and wider Food & Beverage team, you will take an active role in leading shifts, supporting and developing team members, maintaining high standards and ensuring our guests receive warm, efficient and professional service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising the bar team and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Lake View Lounge Bar
• Leading shifts, organising the team and maintaining high standards of service throughout
• Supporting the set-up and operation of function bars for weddings, private functions and hotel events
• Providing a welcoming and knowledgeable service while ensuring drinks are prepared and presented to a consistently high standard
• Training, coaching and supporting team members to develop their service skills and product knowledge
• Supporting stock control, maintaining stock levels and helping to minimise wastage
• Ensuring all bar areas are clean, organised, well stocked and ready for service
• Supporting opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and end-of-shift responsibilities
• Working closely with other hotel departments and ensuring licensing, health & safety and company procedures are followed

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience within a busy bar, hotel or hospitality environment
• Supervisory experience would be an advantage, although we also welcome experienced bartenders looking to take the next step
• A passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest service
• Good knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails and other beverages
• Confidence in leading and supporting a team during busy services
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive, hands-on approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required
