Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and comfort for all visitors. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, and common areas, following established standards.
- Change bed linens, replenish amenities, and ensure all surfaces are dust-free and spotless.
- Maintain cleanliness of corridors, lobbies, and other public spaces to uphold the hotel's appearance.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages discovered during cleaning to management promptly.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use cleaning equipment and products efficiently and responsibly, adhering to company guidelines.
- Assist with laundry duties as required, including sorting, washing, folding, and storing linens.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team setting.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which involve standing for extended periods, bending, lifting light loads, and walking throughout the premises.
- A positive attitude and professional demeanour are essential for delivering excellent guest service.
