Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving sales, building strong relationships with clients, and supporting our organisational goals. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for organisational detail. The role involves engaging with clients both in person and via various communication channels, ensuring a seamless customer experience while promoting our products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in selecting products or services that meet their needs, providing expert advice and support.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales effectively, ensuring mutual satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities through B2B sales approaches.
  • Manage customer enquiries promptly via phone, email, or face-to-face interactions.
  • Organise appointments and coordinate schedules to optimise sales opportunities.
  • Utilise IT systems to record customer information, sales data, and follow-up activities accurately.
  • Drive company vehicles as necessary to meet clients or attend external meetings.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour at all times to uphold the organisation’s reputation.
  • Keep up-to-date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitors’ offerings to enhance sales effectiveness.

Experience

  • Proven experience in sales or customer service roles is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals successfully.
  • Experience in B2B sales is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with IT systems used for customer relationship management (CRM) and sales tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and organise workload effectively.
  • Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving travel to client sites or external meetings. This role provides an engaging environment where your organisational skills, communication abilities, and enthusiasm for sales will be valued and developed further within our organisation.

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
