Full job description

The RSC is looking for a Deputy Stage Manager (Part-time, Maternity cover) to join the team at Matilda The Musical in London.

The appointed candidate would ideally start in early August.

An experienced Deputy Stage Manager is required to work within the Stage Management department to ensure the smooth running of performances and rehearsals. Applicants must have an understanding and practical knowledge of the principles and safe working practices in all areas of Stage Management, it is essential that you have professional theatre experience. Previous West End experience is highly desirable.

This position is offered as a part time, fixed term contract, working Saturday and Sunday, for 14 months.

Please note that Matilda The Musical performs a Tuesday to Sunday schedule, with matinees on Wednesdays and Saturdays and a mid-afternoon performance on a Sunday. There are comeback rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays in a normal week.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is midnight on Tuesday 14 July.

Interviews are expected to take place on the Tuesday 21 July.
