Full job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Therapy Assistant to join our forward thinking and dynamic integrated Therapy Team across our medical wards for 9 months covering a secondment
You will work within an integrated model of care to provide timely assessments, rehabilitation, and support with discharge planning for our patients.
You will gain experience of working in a busy and pro-active environment where evidence-based practice is embedded and joint working, service development and CPD is encouraged.
We are looking for individuals who work well as part of a team and can contribute to innovative ideas on clinical pathways and can help drive forward excellence.
You must be adaptable to working with a range of patients and working environments with a flexible approach to the delivery of care. This must include a willingness to adopt working patterns that include weekends and public/bank holidays which may form part of your contracted hours or may include working additional hours.
Within this role you will work as part of the Integrated Therapy team, in the speciality of surgery, medicine or orthopaedics
You will provide interventions, for a delegated caseload of patients, with support and supervision of a qualified therapist, undertaking administrative and stock control duties as requested to support the Integrated therapy services.
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford, to save and improve lives.
As a large NHS trust we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners. We believe in our power and potential to make a difference and we’re always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values - care, appreciate and inspire – to join our team.
In return, we can offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA means we can provide more challenge and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction. By joining us you can also access a competitive benefits package, including, a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work-life balance.
