Full job description
Online Nutritionist (Daily Client Coaching and Women’s Health)
Remote | Part-Time Freelance Role | Monday–Friday
We are looking for a knowledgeable, proactive and caring nutritionist to join our growing online women’s health coaching team.
Our programmes, ProjectME and OptimiseME, support women to improve their body composition, blood-sugar regulation, energy, digestion and long-term health habits. Many of our clients are busy women over 35, including women managing PCOS, insulin resistance and other health concerns.
This is not a meal-plan-only role or an occasional consultation role.
You will work closely with a small caseload of clients, reviewing their daily updates and providing detailed, personalised feedback Monday to Friday.
The Role
You will review information including:
- Food photographs and food logs
- Types of food and approximate portion sizes
- Protein, fibre, carbohydrates, fats and micronutrient intake
- Meal balance and overall dietary patterns
- Hunger, cravings and emotional-eating patterns
- Energy, digestion, sleep and symptoms
- Steps, training and general activity
- Progress towards health and body-composition goals
- Relevant blood results and health markers, within your professional scope
You must be able to look at a plate of food and confidently identify:
- The foods and likely ingredients
- Approximate portion sizes
- Meaningful sources of protein, fibre, carbohydrates and fats
- Whether the meal is likely to support the client’s individual needs
- What is working well
- The most important improvement to recommend
- What additional information you need before giving advice
We are not looking for someone who relies solely on tracking apps, templates or AI-generated responses.
Technology may be used appropriately, but it must never replace your own food knowledge, critical thinking or professional judgement. All client feedback must be personally reviewed, accurate and specific to the individual.
Daily Client Feedback
Your feedback should not consist of generic comments such as “great day,” “eat more protein” or “add more vegetables.”
You should be able to:
- Recognise what the client has done well
- Identify the most important coaching point
- Explain why it matters in clear, simple language
- Give the client a realistic and specific action
- Adapt your feedback to the client’s goals, health history, symptoms and lifestyle
- Notice patterns across several days rather than reviewing each meal in isolation
- Ask appropriate questions rather than making assumptions
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain clear and accurate client notes
- Monitor client progress and identify patterns
- Follow up when clients become inconsistent or disengaged
- Take ownership of your caseload without needing repeated reminders
- Communicate openly with the wider coaching team
- Escalate health concerns or areas outside your professional scope
- Receive feedback positively and implement it consistently
- Contribute to a supportive and high-quality client experience
Essential Requirements
You must have:
- A recognised qualification in nutrition, nutritional therapy or dietetics
- Practical knowledge of food, portions and meal composition
- Experience providing individual nutrition support
- A strong understanding of protein, fibre, blood-sugar balance and general health
- Excellent written English
- Warm, clear and professional communication
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and reliably
- Availability to complete client feedback consistently Monday to Friday
- A proactive approach to client care and behaviour change
- A clear understanding of your professional scope of practice
Experience supporting women with PCOS, insulin resistance, blood-sugar concerns, hormonal health or body-composition goals would be particularly valuable.
This Role Will Not Suit You If
- You provide generic or copied-and-pasted feedback
- You depend on AI to formulate your professional judgement
- You struggle to assess food and portions without a tracking app
- You are inconsistent with communication or availability
- You need repeated reminders to complete client work
- You are uncomfortable taking ownership of client progress
- You are unwilling to receive feedback or follow agreed coaching standards
- You are looking for a passive role with minimal client interaction
Working Arrangements
This is a remote, part-time freelance role working Monday to Friday within UK working hours.
You will initially support up to five clients. This is expected to take approximately one hour per weekday, depending on client activity.
There is scope to increase your caseload to approximately 15–20 clients if the initial period goes well and both sides are happy.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a paid trial before being allocated a larger client caseload.
Confidentiality and Professional Boundaries
You will work with confidential client information and our internal coaching systems. Professionalism, data protection, client confidentiality and respect for our intellectual property are essential.
Any current nutrition, health, weight-loss or coaching business—or other work that could create a conflict of interest—must be disclosed during the recruitment process.
Application Process
Please submit:
- Your CV
- Details of your nutrition qualifications
- A brief summary of your relevant client experience
- A short explanation of why this role appeals to you
Shortlisted applicants will be sent a practical assessment before being invited to interview. This will include reviewing photographs of meals, explaining your professional reasoning and writing an example client response.
Generic or incomplete applications will not progress to the next stage.
We are looking for someone who genuinely understands food, cares about client outcomes and would like to become a valued and reliable member of our team.
Pay: £500.00-£3,000.00 per month
Work Location: Remote
