Cafe and Activities Team Member

Argyll Holidays: Gwel An Mor Resort Holiday Park

Job Types: Seasonal position covering weekends and school holidays
Contract length: until November

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Basecamp team here at Gwel an Mor.

Perched above the North Cornwall coastline overlooking the village of Portreath, Gwel an Mor Resort Holiday Park is part of the Argyll Holidays collection of parks and resorts. This coastal destination combines luxury self-catering lodges, sea views and a wide range of on-site facilities within a relaxed, nature-led setting.

Your main duties will consist of however are not limited to:

General responsibilities:

- Welcoming and serving customers

- Assisting in a fast-paced café environment

- Taking, preparing and serving orders

Health and safety:

- Maintain a hygienic environment

- Complete daily health and safety and food hygiene checks

- Preforming essential cleaning within the soft play and café and activity areas

- Complete daily health and safety checks of the equipment

Administrative responsibilities:

- Assist with queries over the phone, in person and over email, including party information or information regarding the soft play/activities

- When trained, welcome guests to and from activities, and run activities for a range of ages and groups

- Ensure all members of the team are kept informed of any last-minute changes to party's allergen information

Booking arrangements for activities:

- Ensure all guests receive the highest standard of hospitality when making a booking or enquiry, in person, over the phone or over email

- Know the opening hours, menus, activities (and prices) for the department

Team commitments:

- Support colleagues and peers ensuring all duties are completed on time

- Support other members of the Gwel an Mor teams passing information on correctly, promptly and accurately

- Attend all training sessions as requested

Experience required

- Barista experience is preferred but not required

- Customer service experience preferred

- Flexibility and adaptability, able to respond to chances in schedule and the needs of guests/the resort

- A passion for people and customer service

- Basic first aid knowledge, or certification (or willingness to undergo training)

- Prior knowledge of activities is preferred but not essential (willingness to undergo training)
