Job role: Production Operative

Location: Pontypool

Hours: Monday to Friday 07.00-15.30pm or Monday to Thursday 13.00pm -23.00pm

Salary: £13.00

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Cutting Room Operative to join a busy and growing manufacturing team.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and has experience working within a production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.

The Role

As a Cutting Room Operative, you will be responsible for:

  • Cutting materials accurately to the required sizes and specifications
  • Using hand tools and cutting equipment safely and efficiently
  • Measuring and preparing materials for production
  • Following job instructions and production schedules
  • Checking the quality of finished materials
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
  • Supporting other areas of the production team when required
  • Following all health and safety procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or cutting environment would be advantageous
  • Comfortable using measuring equipment and hand tools
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on environment
  • Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
