Opportunity to join a growing international organisation operating within the energy sector, supporting a business-wide transformation to a unified Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform. Permanent opportunity for a Systems Accountant to bridge Finance, IT and Operations, driving process improvement, ERP implementation, reporting enhancements and system adoption across multiple business units. Initial 12 month contract.


Join a growing international business operating within the energy sector as a Systems Accountant, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting. This role will act as the key link between Finance, IT and operational teams, supporting the transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and helping drive business-wide process improvements, system adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining finance expertise with systems and transformation projects, whilst working across multiple business functions in a collaborative environment.


Main duties and responsibilities

  • Support the rollout of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across the business.
  • Assist with the migration of financial data, processes and reporting from legacy systems.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure finance requirements are incorporated into system design.
  • Identify opportunities to standardise and improve processes across business units.
  • Support implementation partners and internal project teams throughout project delivery.
  • Review and enhance finance workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy and control.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures and user guides.
  • Develop and enhance financial reporting, management information and dashboards.
  • Deliver training and provide ongoing support to system users across the business.

Applicants to this role require

  • Previous experience in a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems Analyst or ERP implementation role.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes, including month-end reporting, budgeting and financial controls.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementation, migration or business transformation projects.
  • Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent), or significant relevant experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working across multiple departments and supporting change initiatives.
  • A collaborative mindset with a hands-on approach.
