Trainer Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist

Tigerlily First Aid Training

Full-time | Office-based | Sussex HQ

At Tigerlily First Aid Training, the quality of our trainers defines the quality of every course we deliver. We run thousands of first aid training courses every year through a national network of freelance trainers — and we’re looking for someone exceptional to help us recruit, onboard, and support the people who represent our brand in classrooms across the UK.

This is a role with real influence and responsibility. You’ll own the journey from first application through to fully onboarded, confident course-delivering trainer. You’ll work closely with our Head of Operations, Lead IQA, and Senior Trainer Support team to make sure every new trainer joining Tigerlily meets the high standards our customers expect.

If you’re organised, people-focused, quietly rigorous, and love creating a professional and supportive experience for others — we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

As our Trainer Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist, you’ll manage the entire recruitment and onboarding pipeline for new freelance trainers.

You’ll be responsible for:

Recruitment & Candidate Management

  • Managing trainer recruitment campaigns across Indeed and other channels
  • Monitoring recruitment spend, conversion rates, and campaign performance
  • Conducting pre-screening calls and assessing candidate suitability
  • Gathering and verifying qualifications, DBS checks, insurance, and references
  • Coordinating interviews with our Lead IQA

Trainer Assessment & Onboarding

  • Organising Training Assessment Courses (TACs)
  • Supporting trainers through their first six courses with regular check-ins and feedback
  • Monitoring learner pass rates and course paperwork
  • Issuing contracts, onboarding materials, and branded kit
  • Helping trainers understand our systems, processes, and expectations

Compliance & Trainer Support

  • Maintaining accurate trainer records and compliance documentation
  • Tracking qualification and DBS expiry dates
  • Acting as a friendly first point of contact for trainer queries
  • Ensuring every trainer feels supported, prepared, and confident from day one

What We’re Looking ForEssential

  • At least 2 years’ experience in recruitment, onboarding, compliance, or a similar coordination role
  • Strong organisation and administrative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Confidence working with data and reporting
  • Good judgement and people skills
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You Are:

  • Warm, approachable, and supportive
  • Calm under pressure and highly organised
  • Naturally detail-focused
  • Comfortable holding standards professionally
  • Reliable, proactive, and confident raising concerns when needed

Desirable (But Not Essential)

  • Experience in training, education, or regulated environments
  • Experience managing freelance/self-employed workforces
  • Familiarity with Indeed or recruitment platforms
  • Understanding of Ofqual or awarding body processes
  • First aid qualification (or willingness to gain one)

What We Offer

  • A genuinely meaningful role with real ownership and impact
  • A supportive, friendly office team at our recently refurbished Sussex HQ
  • Investment in your development and training
  • Gym membership
  • Dental and healthcare cashback scheme
  • Christmas closure
  • The opportunity to help shape the future of a growing national training business

Pay: Up to £33,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Additional leave
  • Casual dress
  • Employee discount
  • Free parking
  • Gym membership
  • Health & wellbeing programme
  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
