Job Title: Wall Tiler – New Build Construction Sites

Job Description

Responsible for carrying out wall tiling work on new-build residential and commercial construction projects, ensuring high-quality finishes in accordance with building specifications, drawings, and health and safety regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare walls and surfaces for tiling, ensuring they are clean, level, dry, and suitable for tile installation.
  • Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate tile positioning, alignment, and layout.
  • Cut and fit ceramic, porcelain, and other wall tiles to the required sizes and specifications.
  • Apply tile adhesive and install wall tiles in bathrooms, kitchens, en-suites, utility rooms, and other designated areas.
  • Install tiles around windows, doors, pipes, electrical fittings, and other fixtures.
  • Maintain consistent grout lines, levels, spacing, and professional finishes.
  • Apply grout and silicone sealant to joints and corners where required.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and site specifications.
  • Work from construction drawings, site instructions, and finishing schedules.
  • Coordinate with site managers, supervisors, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area, following site health and safety procedures.
  • Use tiling tools, cutting equipment, and personal protective equipment safely and correctly.
  • Identify and report defects, uneven surfaces, or any issues that may affect the quality of the finished work.
  • Complete work within agreed timescales while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in wall tiling on new-build residential construction sites.
  • Good knowledge of tile setting, cutting, grouting, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to read measurements, follow drawings, and work accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
  • Good understanding of construction site health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain productivity in a fast-paced site environment.

Pay: £200.00-£300.00 per day
