Vacancy Close Date: 11th July 2025

We’re currently recruiting for an Electrical Tester to join our Electrical team.

Raven is here to make a difference, working as a team to build homes and change lives. We’re also ambitious: a sector-leader in carbon reduction, with commercial ventures and a focus on the future. But it’s not just what we do, it’s how we do it that sets us apart from other organisations and helps us create a great experience for our customers and one another.

Our culture statements form the principles for how we work and what we expect of one another whilst working together as One Raven.

  • We Put Customers First in everything we do.
  • We will Always Be Curious about how we can do better.
  • We work together to Make It Happen.

What you’ll achieve in the role:

The overall purpose of this role is to carry out Electrical/Testing work for repairs/improvement works and occasional one-off new buildings, both to Raven properties and to other customers, including commercial work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out a range of electrical works in occupied and empty properties up to current legislative standards, to prevailing performance standards and in accordance with the Trust’s procedures.
  • Carry out inspections of occupied and empty properties to determine the extent of the repair, maintenance or installation required. Having identified the works required, carry out the most cost effective and expedient works.
  • Carry out other multi-skilled building tasks as required such as, but not restricted to, minor carpentry, tiling, plumbing and redecoration repairs linked to maintenance work for which you have the appropriate skills, knowledge and/or experience.
  • Carry out administrative work, using the hand held IT device to accurately record whilst on-site all processes from receiving jobs through to completion, using the appropriate schedule of rate code(s) and detailed records of materials used and work competed.

What you’ll bring to Raven:

For this role, we are looking for someone with the following:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
  • An excellent understanding of health and safety and how it applies to your job.
  • Ability to use modern communication technology and IT.
  • Experience of working as a trades operative in a strongly customer focused environment.
  • A full, clean driving licence.

You will also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively, and caring about making things better.

DBS clearance will be required for this role.

Vacancy Close Date: 11th July 2025
