Job Description: Bathroom and Wetroom Fitter (Multi Trader) - Social Housing Sector

Location: South Kesteven District - Grantham and surrounding areas

Company Overview:

We are a well-established main contractor specializing in the social housing sector in the East Midlands. Committed to enhancing the quality of living for residents, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Bathroom and Wetroom Fitter (Multi Trader) to join our team. This role involves completing larger repair projects in tenanted properties, specifically focusing on bathroom and wetroom installations, while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

- Carry out bathroom and wetroom fitting installations in tenanted properties, including the installation of sanitary ware, fixtures, fittings, and associated plumbing.

- Undertake multi-trade tasks related to bathroom and wetroom installations, such as carpentry, tiling, plastering, painting, and decorating as required.

- Collaborate with the project team to plan and schedule bathroom and wetroom installations, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.

- Adhere to health and safety regulations, implementing safe working practices and using appropriate protective equipment.

- Communicate effectively with residents, providing clear information and addressing any concerns or queries in a professional and courteous manner.

- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting quality requirements and client specifications.

- Complete work orders, reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition, reporting any faults or issues promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience as a Bathroom and Wetroom Fitter or Multi Trader, with a focus on bathroom and wetroom installations, preferably within the social housing sector or a similar environment.

- Strong knowledge and experience in fitting and installing sanitary ware, fixtures, and fittings.

- Competency in related trades such as carpentry, tiling, plastering, painting, and decorating.

- Knowledge of plumbing and the ability to undertake basic plumbing tasks related to bathroom and wetroom installations.

- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) are highly desirable.

- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and the ability to implement safe working practices.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome challenges during installations.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, colleagues, and clients.

- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.

- A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Full, clean driving license is essential.
