Full job description

Hybrid Improvements are looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Bathroom Fitter to join our team on an ongoing social housing contract in Northampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bathroom fitter looking for regular, ongoing price work with a consistent programme of work.

The Role

We are looking for a skilled multi-trade operative who can take a bathroom from full strip-out through to complete handover, working to a high standard and within agreed programme timescales.

This position is offered on a subcontract basis and will be paid under CIS deductions.

Rate

£2,400 per completed bathroom

This is a supply-and-fit price, meaning the £2,400 rate covers all labour and materials required to complete the bathroom from start to finish.

Hybrid Improvements will supply the electric shower. The fitter will be responsible for the installation and connection of the supplied electric shower.

Scope of Works

The successful contractor will be responsible for:

  • Full rip-out of existing bathroom
  • Removal of existing bath, basin, WC, flooring, wall tiles, wallpaper and associated fittings
  • Supply and labour for plastering of the bathroom
  • Installation of the new bathroom suite
  • Installation of cold-water feed for electric shower
  • Installation and connection of the electric shower supplied by Hybrid Improvements
  • Full-height tiling to the 3 walls surrounding the bath area
  • Tiling to the basin splashback
  • Installation of skirting boards where required
  • Installation of boxing-in where necessary
  • Full decoration of the bathroom
  • Floor preparation and flooring installation
  • Installation of bath panel
  • Full silicone sealing and finishing
  • Final making good and finishing
  • Full clean-down on completion
  • Completion of any client or contract snags

The bathroom must be handed over fully complete, clean, functional and ready for the client/tenant.

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must hold the following valid qualifications/certificates:

  • CSCS Card
  • Manual Handling
  • Working at Heights
  • Asbestos Awareness

Applicants must also:

  • Have proven experience in social housing bathroom refurbishments
  • Be competent across multiple trades
  • Be able to complete bathrooms from rip-out to final handover
  • Have high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Be reliable and able to work to agreed programmes
  • Be comfortable working on a price-work basis
  • Hold any relevant qualifications required for specialist works undertaken
  • Have their own tools and suitable transport
  • Be able to work independently and manage the full bathroom installation

Experience working on social housing, voids or planned refurbishment programmes is highly desirable.
