Job Description:

Anderson Property Services (APSFM) are looking for an experienced and versatile Painter / Plasterer to join our Maintenance Division.

This mobile role, operating from our Hamilton depot, supports a wide range of reactive and planned maintenance, small works, and refurbishment projects across our nationwide facilities management, renewable, and compliance contracts.

We’re seeking a professional with a strong background in painting & plastering, who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a variety of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks, including plastering and painting/decorating.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.
  • Undertake planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across a range of sites.
  • Ensure all work meets relevant safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, and other trades to deliver projects on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out, materials used, and time spent.
  • Strive for “right first time” completion, identifying and addressing root causes to prevent repeat issues.

About You

  • Proven experience as a multi-skilled tradesperson with core skills in plastering/painting/decorating.
  • Additional skills (e.g. tiling, plastering, minor electrical, or general building maintenance) are an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexible and proactive approach with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
