Job Summary

We are seeking an organised responsible individual to carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring homes are kept in good condition and ready for occupation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for DIY/general property maintenance, gardening, cleaning and ensuring the properties are well kept and tenant issues handled and reported efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across properties to a high standard
• Be able to measure, supply, and fit blinds and similar fixtures
• Painting and decorating (touch-ups and full room painting where required). Carry out any internal decorating to a high standard
• General repairs to properties to maintain a good standard of presentation and safety. Ensuring the services exterior are maintained to include, gardening, painting, paving, guttering and minor roof repairs, general tidiness, basic repairs, etc.
• Undertake basic plumbing tasks (e.g. replacing taps, fixing leaks, replacing TRVs, toilet repairs)
• Tiling, grouting, replacing silicone sealant, basic bathroom repairs
• Plastering small areas, such as remedial repairs following a leak
• Minor electrical repairs
• Furniture repairs and carpentry skills such as hanging doors, fitting door frames, putting up shelves, and minor furniture repairs are essential
• Respond to emergency maintenance as and when it arises including boarding up windows, replacing locks, etc
• Communicate effectively with the wider team regarding maintenance issues and progress
• Ensure work is completed safely and in line with company standards

Experience:

At least 3 years or more experience in plumbing, joinery, painting and general property maintenance is necessary for this role.

Work Location: In person. We are looking for separate individuals to each cover three locations Leeds, Manchester/Stockport area and Sheffield.
