As the qualified plumber and bathroom/kitchen fitter on a large country Estate, this role will tackle and solve a range of residential plumbing issues, as well as undertake new installations, breakdowns and planned maintenance. The role demands high standards of professional work in setting out and finishing, with the ability to multi-task on a variety of projects. It also requires an element of joinery experience. You will be part of a dedicated and motivated maintenance team, working on a range of historic, residential and commercial properties.


1. General plumbing to include: taps, electric and thermostatic showers, sinks water tanks, repairs, replacements and upgrades

2. Althorp Estate plumbing issues to include: water toughs, leaks, replacing water meters, reading water meters, etc.

3. First and second fit bathroom and kitchen fit outs

4. Wall and floor tiling and Aqua boarding

5. Basic carpentry in relation to plumbing projects and tasks

6. Other plumbing tasks as directed by their Line Manager

7. Other seasonal tasks on the Estate as directed by their Line Manager


  • At least 5 years plumbing experience required, preferably with a plumbing gold card for insurance purposes.
  • Proficiency in a range of plumbing techniques
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Basic knowledge and application of carpentry skills
  • A valid, clean UK driving licence
  • Knowledge of, and adherence to, all health and safety regulations


  • Ability to safely perform heavy lifting tasks
  • Ability to work alone with limited supervision at a variety of sites
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate on a range of maintenance projects
  • Well presented, with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver to the highest standards, on time and to cost
  • Reliable and punctual with good time-management skills
  • Courteous, approachable, and conscientious


  • Annual salary of £32,000 to £38,000 (depending on experience)
  • 25 days annual leave, plus statutory bank holidays
  • A branded work uniform
  • The use of a van during working hours
