About us

My Life Interiors is a Swadlincote-based company that designs and fits high-quality bathrooms for homeowners across the area. We care about the finish, and so do our customers. We're looking for an experienced installer who takes pride in their work and wants to be paid properly for it.

The role

You'll fit complete bathrooms from strip-out to final snag, working to a high standard and representing the company in customers' homes. Jobs are planned in advance, with materials ordered and the scope agreed before you arrive, so you can get on and do what you do best.

What you'll be doing

  • Stripping out existing bathrooms and preparing the space
  • First and second fix plumbing
  • Fitting baths, showers, enclosures, toilets, basins and vanity units
  • Wall and floor tiling to a high standard
  • Boarding, waterproofing and tanking, including wet rooms
  • Fitting heated towel rails, extractor fans and bathroom lighting (or coordinating with our electrician where needed)
  • Final checks, leak testing and snagging
  • Keeping the work area clean and protecting customers' homes
  • Keeping customers and the office updated on progress

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience installing bathrooms, ideally 5+ years
  • Strong tiling and plumbing skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work independently and manage your own jobs
  • Reliable, punctual and presentable, with a good manner in customers' homes
  • Your own tools and a full UK driving licence
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent) are welcome, but we value proven ability above all
  • Gas Safe registration is a bonus but not essential
  • Some flexibility to work beyond normal hours when a job requires it

What we offer

  • Salary of £Competitive, depending on experience
  • Company van provided
  • Guaranteed hours, so you know what you're earning
  • Pension scheme
  • Paid overtime for any extra hours worked, including occasional Saturdays
  • Full-time permanent employment, not self-employed or CIS
  • Steady, well-planned work from a company that sells on quality
  • Materials ordered and organised for you
  • A supportive team and a business that values its installers

Hours and location

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with occasional Saturday work (paid as overtime)
