Bathroom Fitter / Multi-Trade Operative — DFG Adaptations

Pay: £36,000 per year
Job type: Full-time, permanent

True Adapt Limited is looking for an experienced Bathroom Fitter / Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, working across West Sussex.

We specialise in Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) adaptations, including level access showers and accessible bathrooms. We work with local councils and clients across the area, and are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and cares about the quality of their finish.

The role

You’ll install DFG bathrooms and level access showers in customers’ homes. Work includes:

  • Full bathroom rip-outs and installations
  • Level access shower installations
  • Wall tiling & Shower Panels
  • Basic plumbing and pipework alterations
  • Basic carpentry and woodwork
  • Making good, patching and boxing-in
  • Basic painting and finishing
  • Working as part of a team and managing tasks independently, with support available.

As you’ll be working in people’s homes, professionalism and good communication are essential.

What we’re looking for

You must have:

  • Proven bathroom / building experience
  • Good all-round multi-trade skills
  • A full, clean driving licence
  • Reliability and a good standard of workmanship
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work well in a team and manage your work independently

General building knowledge and kitchen fitting experience would be an advantage.

Because the role involves working in clients’ homes, any pre-employment checks will be relevant to the role and carried out in line with applicable requirements.
