Full job description

Trainee Builder – Estate Maintenance & Renovation

Location: Norfolk – primarily between Fakenham and Holt, and Swaffham and Downham Market

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are looking for a Trainee Builder to join our in-house estate maintenance and building team

We are a diverse country estate with farming, woodland and countryside management at its heart, alongside residential, commercial and traditional estate properties and a growing hospitality offering.

This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to work alongside experienced members of our team and develop a broad range of building, repair and renovation skills.

The role will include:

· Brickwork, blockwork and repointing, including traditional materials such as flint and chalk

· Plastering, rendering and general building repairs

· Groundworks, concreting and drainage

· Roofing, carpentry and window and door repairs

· Tiling, flooring, painting and decorating

· General property maintenance and renovation work

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in building who wants to develop a career in the trade. You will need to be practical, hardworking, willing to learn and take pride in doing a job well.

We are open to applicants just starting their career as well as those who already have some practical building experience and want to develop their skills further. Training and support will be provided as you progress.

Flexibility is an important part of estate life, where priorities can change and there is always plenty to get on with. We work hard, but we enjoy what we do and get real satisfaction from seeing a job finished and the difference we’ve made.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

Please send a covering letter and CV to Sarah Finch: s.finch@albanwise.co.uk

Pay: £22,600.00-£30,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
