We are are seeking a skilled self employed maintenance operative to provide comprehensive maintenance support to the companies clients and tenants in residential houses and flats located around South Manchester.

We are looking for an experienced multi skilled person with knowledge and experience in preparation of void properties for new tenants and maintaining residential properties that are occupied. We are looking for someone who is observant, flexible, hard working and reliable and trustworthy.

You will work across the following disciplines:

• Plumbing - leak detection & basic repair
• Joinery - Basic repairs and replacement to windows, lock and door repairs
• Flooring - including installation and removal
• External works - including rendering, roofing, guttering, fencing
• Drainage - basic cleaning and unblocking
• Tiling, plastering and painting & decorating, cleaning skillsets required
• Appliance repairs and replacement
• Furniture repairs and replacement
• Inspections and Reporting - on vacant and occupied properties
• Cleaning - preparing properties for new tenants and cleaning of communal areas of interior and exterior

The role will require travel to properties in South Manchester and suppliers across the North West region so a valid UK driving license is essential. Access to your own vehicle and basic tools is critical.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and experience

• All aspects of renovation; including painting & decorating, tiling, plastering, cleaning
• Basic Carpentry/joinery
• Basic Plumbing
• Must have UK driving license and access to own van and basic tools
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Proactive maintenance to minimise calls
• Good at problem solving
• Making the manager and coordinator aware of any issues that may arise on the job or within the properties
• Working with the wider team, other maintenance operatives, sub contractors and suppliers on jobs
• Ad hoc work that may arise
• Flexible approach; standard working day, may vary on occasion
• Good level of maintenance experience
• Ideally worked within a maintenance division for an estate agency or large company
• Ability to work alone
• Highly organised and able to work to timeframes
• Be proactive to identify and report faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve.

• Someone who can build good relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers to get the job done.

Job Types: Regular work depending on ability

Schedule:

• When required during busy periods
• Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £150.00-£180.00 per day
