Full job description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterer to join our team, delivering high-quality plastering and decorating services across a range of properties. In return, we offer a competitive salary, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to work on varied and rewarding projects.

The ideal candidate will be experienced, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic. Basic computer literacy and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Core Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of plastering work, including full-room skimming, float and set, bonding, and patch repairs.
  • Install and finish stud walls to a high standard, ensuring sound structure and surface readiness.
  • Conduct plasterboarding and preparation work for finishing surfaces.
  • Undertake minor repairs and remedial plasterwork across ceilings, walls, and partitions.
  • Perform internal painting and decorating, including surface preparation, undercoating, and finishing.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high-quality finish and in line with customer expectations.

Additional Maintenance Duties

While plastering is the core focus, you’ll also be expected to contribute to general property maintenance, including:

  • Basic carpentry: boxing in, fitting trim or skirting boards, minor woodwork.
  • Light tiling repairs and grouting.
  • General decorating duties throughout residential and communal areas.
  • Occasional assistance with furniture assembly or minor repairs if required.
  • Contribute to the general upkeep of the property, including basic cleanliness and presentation of work areas.

Expectations & Compliance

  • Complete both reactive and planned tasks to agreed standards and deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation, company procedures, and safe working practices.
  • Identify and report defects, hazards, or any issues requiring further attention.
  • Liaise with your Line Manager and team members to ensure effective coordination of tasks.
  • Contribute positively to the overall success of the team and the smooth running of operations.

Tools & Equipment

You are expected to supply and maintain your own tools necessary for day-to-day duties. Some company tools may be provided for specific tasks. All tools—whether personal or company-issued—must be used safely and in line with any training, policies, and health and safety regulations. PPE will be provided and must be worn when required.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in plastering and decorating.
  • Proven ability in skimming, patch repairs, stud wall construction, and finishing.
  • Sound knowledge of plastering tools, materials, and surface preparation.
  • Familiarity with UK building regulations and best practices.
  • Basic computer literacy for recording work and communicating with team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new methods and procedures.

Special Working Conditions

  • Some overtime may be required.
  • Travel within your assigned area is expected; occasional travel outside this area may be necessary.

£35,000.00 per calendar year

Eligibility
