Multi-Trade Operative – Social Housing & Residential Care Homes

Location: North West
Pay: £22 per hour CIS
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Start: ASAP

We are currently recruiting an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to work across social housing properties and residential care homes throughout the North West.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a genuinely multi-skilled tradesperson with experience carrying out kitchen and bathroom refurbishments from start to finish. You will be responsible for completing a variety of refurbishment and maintenance works, ensuring properties are finished to a high standard.

Initially offered on a temporary basis, the role will become permanent after 12 weeks for the right candidate, with a company van and fuel card provided.

The Role

  • Carrying out full kitchen and bathroom refurbishments from start to finish.
  • Working across social housing properties and residential care homes.
  • Completing a wide range of multi-trade works, including joinery, plumbing, tiling, plastering and decorating.
  • Undertaking general property maintenance, repairs and refurbishment works.
  • Managing jobs independently and taking responsibility for completing work to a high standard.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and within the required timescales.
  • Travelling to properties across the North West as required.

  • £22 per hour CIS.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative.
  • Experience completing full kitchen and bathroom refurbishments from start to finish.
  • Competent across multiple trades, including joinery, plumbing, tiling, plastering and decorating.
  • Previous social housing and/or residential care home experience desirable.
  • Own transport and tools essential for the initial temporary period.
  • Asbestos Awareness certificate – essential.
  • CSCS card – essential.
  • Manual Handling certificate – essential.
  • Working at Heights certificate – essential.
  • NVQ qualifications desirable but not essential.
  • Reliable, professional and able to work independently.
