We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced reliable General fabric maintenance engineer to join our small friendly family run business that has been going since 1989, working in and around London.

Main duties & Responsibilities

  • General Carpentry
  • Fire door maintenance and repair Basic plumbing and drainage repairs
  • Patch repairs to wall and floor tiling, carpets, lino & screeds
  • Suspended ceiling repairs
  • Shelving /racking
  • Lock changes/repairs
  • Painting & Decorating
  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with the company’s PPM and task schedules.
  • Undertake PPM activity in a quality, professional manner.
  • Carry out the works always requested in a professional and proactive manner.
  • To always communicate clearly and effectively with the rest of the team and clients.
  • To ensure that the Company is always presented in a good light.
  • Understand and be aware of the requirements of all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and are equally aware of their own roles and responsibilities within the Company.

Whilst we don’t need you to know it all, we do need you to have varied experience across a mix of the above trades. We provide training and development opportunities for the right candidate

The be successful you will have:

  • Previous knowledge of commercial building maintenance
  • Have recognised trade certificates.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills & can-do mind set
  • Self-motivation with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK driving licence – No more than 3 points.
  • CSCS card a bonus but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)

Work Location: On the road
