About Us

We are a busy, patient-focused independent community pharmacy. We pride ourselves on delivering a personal, high-quality service to our local community — going well beyond the counter to offer clinical services and genuine care for every patient who walks through our door.

We're looking for a motivated and reliable Pharmacy Technician to join our small, dedicated team and help us continue delivering excellent patient care.

The Role

As our Pharmacy Technician, you will play a central role in the day-to-day running of the dispensary. You will work closely with our pharmacist-prescriber and support staff to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of NHS and private prescriptions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurately dispensing NHS and private prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
  • Managing stock levels, ordering, and checking deliveries
  • Processing prescriptions via the NHS dispensing system (EPS)
  • Supporting the smooth running of Pharmacy First and other NHS enhanced services
  • Maintaining compliance with GPhC standards, SOPs, and dispensary protocols
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
  • Assisting with clinical audits, record-keeping, and CQC/GPhC inspection readiness

About You

Essential:

  • Right to work in the UK — we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role
  • Experience working in a community pharmacy setting
  • Working knowledge of the NHS dispensing process and EPS
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centred approach
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team

Desirable:

  • Experience with Pharmacy First consultations or other NHS enhanced services
  • Familiarity with dispensary management systems (e.g. Rx Web, Pharmacy Manager, Titan)
  • Registered Technician with the GPhC
  • Accuracy checking technician (ACT) qualification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Employee discount
  • On-site parking

Experience:

  • Pharmacy: 1 year (required)

Work Location: In person
