Cleaning Operative – Faversham Public Facilities

Location: Faversham, Kent
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Working days: Thursday to Monday
Hours: 6 hours per day, split shift

Monitor Cleaning Services is looking for a reliable and conscientious Cleaning Operative to clean and maintain public conveniences across Faversham town centre and Faversham Recreation Ground.

This is a split-shift position, so applicants must live locally or within a short travelling distance of Faversham.

Working Hours

Thursday to Monday:

  • Attend at 7:00am to unlock the facilities
  • Cleaning shift from 11:00am to 1:00pm
  • Cleaning and closing shift from 4:00pm to 7:00pm

The role also includes providing additional holiday and sickness cover when required.

Main Duties

  • Unlocking, cleaning and locking public conveniences in accordance with the agreed schedule
  • Cleaning toilets, washbasins, floors, fixtures and surrounding areas
  • Replenishing consumables, including soap, toilet paper and hand-drying supplies
  • Carrying out regular checks throughout the day
  • Reporting faults, damage, vandalism or maintenance issues promptly to the manager
  • Ensuring the facilities are clean, safe and presentable for members of the public
  • Following company health and safety procedures at all times

About You

You will need to be:

  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
  • Comfortable working in public toilet facilities
  • Able to manage a split-shift working pattern
  • Polite and professional when dealing with members of the public
  • Willing to provide holiday and sickness cover when required
  • Local to Faversham due to the attendance times and split shifts

Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Please only apply if you are able to attend all parts of the split shift and can reliably travel between the Faversham town centre and Recreation Ground facilities.
