Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Traffic Management Supervisor to oversee and coordinate operational tasks within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a keen eye for maintenance needs, and excellent communication abilities. This role is vital in ensuring the safe temporary traffic management installations and sterile site areas, contributing to overall operational success. The position offers an opportunity to lead a team, implement traffic strategies, and maintain high safety standards.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily traffic management activities across multiple sites and schemes.
  • Monitor traffic conditions and adjust management plans accordingly to optimise flow and safety.
  • Conduct regular site inspections of traffic control equipment and methods of work, identifying maintenance requirements.
  • Oversee the scheduling and deployment of traffic management operatives, ensuring coverage in and out of normal hours of work
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and external agencies regarding methods of traffic management, plans and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and organisational policies.
  • Manage incident response procedures related to traffic disruptions or accidents.
  • Maintain detailed records of traffic operations, and maintenance activities for reporting purposes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in management roles, preferably within traffic or transportation sectors.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures related to traffic signals equipment
  • Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; for site visits and meetings
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications or training in traffic management or safety procedures are advantageous but not essential. This position is integral to maintaining smooth, safe, and efficient traffic operations within our organisation, offering a rewarding opportunity for experienced professionals committed to safety and operational excellence.
