About the Role

As Country Manager UK, you will develop and implement the overall country strategy which will align business profitability with rental, sales and service customers. You will communicate business improvement opportunities with internal and external customers, selling both capacity and capability to meet needs and in turn increase repeat business at profitable levels. As Country Manager UK, you will develop efficient sales strategies to ensure the business meets the financial commitments in terms of revenue and profit at minimal costs without compromising quality or safety. You will drive continuous improvement and optimisation of all processes and oversee all daily operations of the location ensuring policies and procedures are followed. As Country Manager you will provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the country and will harness a working environment which encourages teamwork, accountability and an engaged workforce.

  • Plan, organise and lead the daily operations to meet assigned financial and budget objectives including completion of Mid-Month and End of Month reporting and full P&L responsibility
  • Identify & development new and existing business opportunities, including lead generation and qualifying the needs of potential customers
  • Evaluate operational and financial data; supported by proposed budget and cost/benefit forecasts to understand viability of current and future revenues, making recommendations on continuity or process improvements
  • Support revenue growth with existing customers reporting increases and future plans for key accounts - maintain open and constant communication with senior key stakeholders to gain information on future strategy for future planning
  • Understand and communicate customers’ needs, ensuring operational reactive and proactive customer support with clear, defined and documented follow up plans – in turn ensure team accommodates deadlines
  • Implement strategies in alignment with NOV’s regional strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Coach and train operational managers and staff to apply, support, sustain and develop a continuous improvement culture.
  • Monitor cost, schedule and performance of business activities - evaluate and take remedial actions to achieve sustained success
  • Identify, communicate and achieve company KPIs and ensure targets are communicated to Managers, use operational metrics to root cause analyse any problems
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimise productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
  • Provide QHSE leadership ensuring personal/team compliance with legislation and Company policies and drive a culture that all aspects of quality, health and safety is our top priority
  • Be conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are always in full compliance

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in a leadership role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in managing and leading diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation for decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required for business purposes.
