    • Assist with bathing, drying and preparing dogs for grooming.
    • Pay:* £8.00 per hour.
    • Dog grooming: 1 year (required).
    • Strong knowledge of animal care practices and breed-specific grooming techniques.

About this opportunity:
Here at star paws grooming we are a small one to one groomers, grooming a maximum of 6 dogs a day all of which are regular customers. We are very friendly atmosphere and we take pride in our work, with Louise having 15+years of experience in the grooming industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the skills needed to start a career in the dog grooming industry.

Duties include but not limited to;

Washing/Drying/brushing out
Keeping the groom room tidy at all times
Washing & Drying towels
Getting client cards out/putting them away
Cuddling dogs
Deep clean after every day
Helping out, when asked to do so

Desired Qualifications

Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or higher in dog grooming.
GCSE or Equivalent in English and maths grade 4/C or above desired, but not essential.

Future Prospects

Apprentices go on to full employment in the industry or open their own salon.

Training Provided

Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Dog Grooming Apprenticeship
The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
