Junior Property Paralegal | Full Time | Office-Based with Some Remote Working

An established and highly regarded family law firm is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Junior Paralegal to join its busy Property Department.

The successful candidate will work closely with and provide support to senior solicitors across a broad range of residential and commercial conveyancing matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong candidate looking to develop their career within a supportive and close-knit legal practice.

Are you the right person for the job?

If you have the following, then the answer is yes!

  • A Law degree of at least 2:1 (Upper Second-Class Honours) is essential
  • Legal secretary with property experience
  • Previous paralegal or relevant legal experience
  • Practical experience in both residential and commercial conveyancing is essential
  • Strong technical legal skills, particularly in legal drafting and document review
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A professional and client-focused approach
  • The ability to work independently while also providing effective support to senior solicitors
  • Good IT and general administrative skills
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in property law

What will your role as a Junior Paralegal look like?

  • Assisting with residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, including commercial lettings, from inception through to completion
  • Drafting, reviewing and amending legal documentation
  • Undertaking legal and document reviews and identifying issues requiring further consideration
  • Assisting with searches, enquiries, reports on title and other conveyancing matters
  • Dealing with post-completion requirements, including the preparation and submission of Land Registry applications and SDLT returns
  • Liaising professionally with clients, solicitors, agents and other third parties
  • Supporting senior solicitors with the progression and management of files
  • Completing file-opening procedures and client identity and verification checks
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records and ensuring files are kept up to date
  • Providing general administrative and organisational support to the Property Department
  • Undertaking other duties as reasonably required to support the department and the wider firm
