Full job description

We are seeking a motivated and well-presented individual with prior automotive industry experience to join our team as a Showroom Host / Trainee Sales Consultant.

This role is ideal for someone currently working in automotive (e.g., dealership receptionist, service advisor assistant, junior sales support) who is ready to transition into a structured sales career pathway.

You will be the first point of contact in the showroom while developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to become a fully qualified Sales Consultant.

Key ResponsibilitiesShowroom & Customer Experience

  • Greet and professionally qualify all walk-in customers
  • Create a welcoming, high-standard showroom experience
  • Manage incoming phone and online enquiries
  • Maintain vehicle display standards and showroom presentation
  • Support daily dealership operations and administrative tasks

Trainee Sales Development

Under mentorship, you will:

  • Build detailed product knowledge across the vehicle range
  • Conduct vehicle walkarounds and presentations
  • Assist with and eventually lead test drives
  • Manage CRM follow-ups and customer communication
  • Learn finance and insurance processes
  • Support preparation of sales documentation
  • Develop negotiation and closing techniques

As your confidence and performance grow, you will begin managing your own leads and sales opportunities.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in the automotive industry (essential)
  • Strong customer service background
  • Professional presentation and communication skills
  • Understanding of dealership operations and processes
  • Confidence speaking with customers both in person and over the phone
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle specifications and terminology
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Valid driver’s licence
