Proposals Apprentice
Location: Bridge Of Don, Aberdeen, United Kingdom

Employment Type: Full time- 37.5hrs per week
Reporting to: Contracts and Proposals Manager


Main Purpose of the Role


The main purpose of the Proposals Apprentice role is to provide an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge of bid and proposal processes within the oil and gas service industry. As part of the Proposals and Contracts team, the Proposals Apprentice will assist in the preparation and submission of proposals within specified deadlines, maintain accurate bid records and carry out general proposals administration duties.


Main Tasks

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of proposals
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather required technical and commercial information
  • Format and compile proposal documents and quotations to ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with client requirements
  • Track and manage proposal timelines to ensure timely submissions
  • Ensure all submissions adhere to company branding, quality standards, and client specifications
  • Maintain accurate records of submitted bids and outcomes for reporting and continuous improvement
  • Assist with post-submission clarifications and documentation requests
  • Provide support to the Contracts and Proposals team
  • General proposals administration duties

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Enthusiastic, with a positive approach to learning and development
  • Minimum National 4 English and Maths qualifications
  • Good numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
  • Great time management and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Keen interest in the energy sector
