About the Role

We are a growing apprenticeship and funded training provider working with employers across multiple sectors.

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager / Head of Business Development with a strong background in apprenticeships, funded training, or employer partnerships — someone who can generate employer relationships and new business opportunities quickly using an established professional network.

This role is ideal for a credible industry professional who understands apprenticeship funding models and can deliver commercial results from an early stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new employer partnerships for funded apprenticeship programmes
  • Generate business through your existing network and industry contacts
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with employers
  • Manage and grow key accounts
  • Meet realistic and clearly defined revenue targets
  • Support expansion into new sectors and regions

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in apprenticeships, funded training, workforce development or employer engagement
  • Proven track record in securing employer contracts or funded training business
  • Strong existing employer or partner network (demonstrable)
  • Solid understanding of apprenticeship funding structures
  • Commercial mindset with relationship-building skills

  • OTE of £50,000 is based on achievable performance targets
