Trainee Solicitor Apprentice with EBR Attridge LLP

Hours Per Week: 37.5

Start Date: January 2027

Short Description:

Learning how to become a solicitor, reading documents, applying for legal aid, corresponding with other parts of the criminal justice system, taking instructions from clients, advising clients.

Applicants must be police station accredited

Description of Company:

Criminal defence firm of solicitors, primarily legal aid, representing people accused of criminal offences at the police station, Magistrates Court, Crown Court and Appeal Courts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reading documents.
  • Applying for legal aid.
  • Corresponding with other parts of the criminal justice system.
  • Taking instructions from clients.
  • Advising clients.
  • Once accredited, attending the police station to represent clients.

Future Prospects:

AT completion of the apprenticeship we would review and, if they have shown the drive and a passion for criminal defence, such as by becoming fully police station accredited, offer a job as a solicitor.

Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.
