About the Role

Transcal is a global interior manufacturer supporting automotive, aerospace, defence and bespoke vehicle programmes for leading international brands. From our Livingston facility, we craft premium interiors installed in luxury vehicles and aircraft worldwide.

We're looking for a Quality Checker to join our Materials, Quality & Logistics team. You'll make sure every part we receive, build and ship meets the standards our customers expect, and you'll work closely with production to catch problems early and fix them fast.

Experience in a quality or inspection role is a bonus, but it isn't essential. If you have the right attitude and a sharp eye, we'll train you.

What You'll Do

This is a hands-on role on the shop floor. You'll handle real products and your decisions will count.

You will:

• Inspect incoming parts against specifications, master samples and customer engineering drawings
• Carry out visual and physical checks at every stage of production, including final inspection
• Use measuring equipment and quality control tools to test materials, components and finished products
• Photograph, log and record inspection results, noting any defects or inconsistencies
• Report non-conformities and help investigate what caused them
• Label and pack finished parts, and keep track of completed and dispatched orders
• Work with production teams to solve quality issues and help keep deliveries on time
• Help improve our quality processes

What We're Looking For

• Strong attention to detail. You spot what others miss
• Organised, with accurate record keeping
• Confident communicating with colleagues across departments
• Able to work on your own and as part of a team
• Comfortable using measuring tools, or keen to learn
• Previous quality or inspection experience in manufacturing is desirable

This role suits someone who is methodical, thorough and won't let something go out the door unless it's right.
