Full job description

Location: Hybrid – Remote with travel across London & surrounding regions

Contract: Full-time, Permanent – Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (occasional flexibility required)

Salary: Competitive + Performance-linked Commission/Bonus

The Role

We’re looking for a commercially minded Client Relationship Manager who enjoys building long-term client partnerships. This is a senior, high-autonomy role combining account growth, relationship leadership, and consultative sales across the health and social care sector. If you’re equally comfortable developing trusted client relationships and opening new doors — this role is built for you.

This is a senior, client-facing commercial role with a balanced focus on:

  • Growing and developing existing client accounts
  • Generating new business within the health & social care space
  • Leading client relationships at decision-maker level
  • Identifying expansion, cross-sell, and partnership opportunities
  • Acting as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional seller

You’ll manage your own pipeline, your own accounts, and your own approach — with support, but not micromanagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of existing client accounts
  • Build senior stakeholder relationships across client organisations
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities, leading commercial conversations and proposals
  • Spot growth, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities within current clients
  • Represent SECCTA as a credible and trusted sector partner at client meetings, networking events, and industry forums
  • Work consultatively — understanding client needs before proposing solutions
  • Maintain accurate client records and produce regular reports on account performance, pipeline activity, and engagement metrics
  • Manage your own pipeline independently, with high autonomy and accountability

Who This Role Suits

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Has proven customer relationship or account management experience, ideally within health & social care, education, or a training environment
  • Is equally comfortable with new business development as with growing existing accounts
  • Has experience managing or leading employees or teams
  • Works well independently and thrives in a high-autonomy environment
  • Understands and can navigate complex stakeholder environments
  • Values long-term partnerships over quick wins
  • Has experience using CRM software and packages
  • Holds a full UK Driving Licence (required)

If you don’t meet every requirement but think you’d be a great fit — we encourage you to apply.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
  • Performance-linked commission and bonus scheme
  • An established client base plus new market opportunity from day one
  • Senior, trusted position within the commercial team
  • High autonomy and flexible working style — supported, not micromanaged
  • Home-based with travel expenses paid
  • Laptop & mobile phone provided
  • 33 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Christmas and New Year shutdown period
  • Pension scheme after a successful probationary period
  • Healthcare options after a successful probationary period

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

Licence/Certification:

  • UK Drivers Licence (required)

Work Location: On the road
