Live-In Opportunity | Percentage of Sales | Food-Led Pub | Huge Potential

We are looking for an experienced, driven and entrepreneurial Self-Employed Pub Manager to take the reins at The Travellers Rest in Pensford, Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants the freedom to run a pub as their own business, without the huge financial commitment normally associated with taking on a pub.

The Travellers Rest is a food-led pub with excellent potential. We are looking for the right person to build the business, develop a strong local following and establish the venue as both a great community pub and a destination for quality food and dining.

THE DEAL

You will operate the pub on a self-employed basis and receive an agreed percentage of net sales, giving you a genuine opportunity to increase your earnings as you grow the business.

We cover:

  • All stock
  • Utilities and business bills
  • Property costs
  • Repairs and maintenance
  • Business infrastructure and support
  • Live-in manager's accommodation

You are responsible for:

  • Employing, managing and paying your own team
  • Day-to-day management of the pub
  • Delivering excellent food, drink and customer service
  • Recruiting and developing a strong team
  • Maintaining excellent standards throughout the business
  • Driving sales and profitability
  • Growing the pub's reputation locally and further afield
  • Developing events, promotions and reasons for customers to visit
  • Working within all licensing, food safety and operational requirements

FOOD EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL

This is a food-led opportunity, so we are specifically looking for someone with strong experience of running a pub, restaurant or hospitality venue with a significant food operation.

You will understand the importance of food quality, consistency, presentation, service standards, kitchen management and controlling the overall customer experience.

We want someone who can see the potential to make The Travellers Rest a pub people will travel to for great food, while never losing sight of its role as a welcoming local pub for the Pensford community.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You could be an experienced General Manager who is ready to take the next step and effectively run your own business, or an established pub operator looking for a new opportunity.

You should be commercially minded, hands-on and ambitious, with the personality and drive to make the pub your own.

Previous food-led pub management experience is essential.

This isn't simply a salaried management position. Your earnings are directly linked to the sales you generate, so the more successful you make the pub, the greater your earning potential.
