About us:
Foundation Lending are a specialist mortgage lender, based in Bracknell in Berkshire. We are specialists because we understand the market and because we know that not everyone has straightforward requirements when it comes to mortgages.
We are looking to enhance our team and currently have a vacancy for an experienced Head of Treasury Operations.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Liquidity & Cash Management
- Oversee daily liquidity position, ensuring sufficient funding to meet operational and lending requirements
- Manage short- and medium-term cash flow forecasting with appropriate stress scenarios
- Maintain and optimise utilisation across funding lines
- Monitor liquidity buffers in line with internal policy and Board-approved risk appetite
2. Funding & Treasury Operations
- Lead operational management of all funding structures including: Warehouse facilities, Forward flow arrangements and Securitisations (where applicable)
- Oversee drawdowns, repayments, covenant reporting, and lender communications
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of funding transactions
- Support new funding line onboarding and operational readiness
- Experience dealing with legal documentation related to funding structures
3. Controls, Governance & Risk Management
- Design and maintain a strong treasury control framework:
- Bank account management and reconciliations
- Payment controls and authorisation processes
- Segregation of duties and fraud prevention
- Ensure compliance with internal treasury policies and procedures
- Maintain robust audit trail and documentation for internal/external audit scrutiny
- Partner with Risk on liquidity risk, operational risk, and stress testing
4. Systems & Process Optimisation
- Own treasury systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and integration with Finance and servicing platforms
- Drive automation and process efficiency to reduce manual intervention and operational risk
- Lead continuous improvement of treasury operations to support business growth
- Knowledge or hands on experiencee with Treasury Management Systems
5. Reporting & MI
- Produce high-quality treasury MI for ExCo, ALCO, Risk Committee, and Board including: Liquidity position and headroom, Facility utilisation,Covenant compliance, Forecast vs actual variances.
- Provide insight-led commentary to support decision making
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all reporting
- Experience dealing with adhoc analysis for PE investors and capital markets
6. Stakeholder Management
- Act as key operational contact for: Funders and facility providers, Banking partners, Internal stakeholders (Finance, Capital Markets, Risk, Operations)
- Support Capital Markets activity (e.g. refinancing, new facility structuring) from an operational perspective
- Build strong internal relationships to ensure alignment between funding strategy and operational delivery
7. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the Treasury Operations team
- Create a high-performance, accountable culture aligned to “grown-ups” principles
- Ensure appropriate capability, succession planning, and resilience within the team

Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Extensive treasury operations experience within specialist lending or non-bank financial services
- Strong knowledge of liquidity management, funding structures, and treasury controls
- Experience managing warehouse lines, securitisation structures, and lender reporting
- Proven ability to operate within a regulated, governance-led environment
- Experience leading teams and delivering in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Professionally qualified (ACT, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical capability and ability to produce high-quality MI and insight
- Effective stakeholder management across senior internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of the Financial Services industry and supporting regulations including Consumer Duty (CD), Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) is preferred however training will be given where required.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience supporting capital markets transactions and complex funding structures
- Experience with treasury systems, automation, or transformation initiatives
- Advanced modelling, forecasting, and MI capability
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and scale treasury operations
