Tree Surgeon jobs in Felpham

As an Arborist with COOMBES, you will play a key role in the safe removal and lineside clearance of vegetation and trees, supporting the upkeep and improvement of the UK’s rail infrastructure. Our continued growth as both a Principal Contractor and Framework Contractor to Network Rail means we are expanding our skilled team.

As our Arborist, you will:

• Carry out all tasks to a high and safe standard, following internal procedures and industry best practice.
• Operate and maintain the plant, tools, and equipment needed for each job, ensuring excellent care and attention to upkeep.
• Climb regularly and provide aerial rescue support to colleagues.
• Work in accordance with risk assessments, task briefings, and safe systems of work.
• Remove hazardous trees, plant vegetation, assist with light fencing repairs, and support wider vegetation management activities.
• Respond appropriately and professionally to queries from lineside residents, escalating issues when necessary.

Skills & Experience

• Recent hands-on experience in a vegetation or rail environment.
• PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification.
• Aerial Rescue qualification.
• Chainsaw competencies (CS30, CS31, CS32).
• Experience using brushcutters, strimmers and/or chippers.
