Full job description

Arborist, tree surgeon, team leader in Dunsfold Surrey

Are you thinking about a change?

As a company in a safety led industry we don't believe in performance or target based bonus system but believe in a good wage. Rushing can lead to accidents and that's just not us!

We are looking for a lead climber/foreman who is passionate and skilled to join our team on a full time employed basis. We will consider candidates who are self employed who are looking for regular days.

This is a hands on role for someone who is confident leading a small team whilst also carrying out arboricultural work to a high standard. You will be responsible for helping organise the working day, supervising site operations, communicating with clients where required, making sure the work is completed safely, efficiently and professionally.

The role involves a varied mix of commercial and residential work. You will work with a well equipped team using modern machinery and vehicles, with the support of an established local company that places strong emphasis on quality work, good tree care and safe working practices.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can lead by example.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING

We are offering a very competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

  • 22 days paid leave
  • Plus Bank Holidays are on offer. Total = 30 days/year.
  • We also offer a loyalty holiday bonus scheme offering an additional days paid holiday per each completed year of employment with a max of five additional days after five years of employment. This will take your paid holiday to 35 days per year.

You will be working with a friendly and hardworking team who take pride in their work, and be part of a company who offer a full range of arboricultural services.

The candidate is to have at least 3 years climbing experience. They need to enjoy working outdoors and as part of a team. As a company, we invest a lot back into our equipment and staff and this refects in the employment package we offer.

Qualifications REQUIRED for a climber are as the following or equivalent:

City & Guilds NPTC Cs30 - Chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting

City & Guilds NPTC 31 - Fell and process small trees

City & Guilds NPTC 38 – Climb trees and perform aerial rescue

City & Guilds NPTC 39 – Use of a chainsaw from rope and harness

Full Driving licence is required as our yard is in a remote location.
